Our last stop in France...Marseille! We were only here for a short time but thoroughly enjoyed it.
What started as a pit stop ended up being really nice. We walked down to the vieux port. Here are all of the ships in the port and lots of shops and restaurants. We bought some famous Marseille soap and went out for a fun lunch. Rich had beef burgundy and I finally tried a local specialty I had been wanting- eggplant gratin. While it wasn't what I thought (melty cheesiness), it was delicious. We also had some pretty damn good macaroons too.
Marseille is our last stop in France! We are ready to explore new places but will miss this wonderful country! Especially the cheap cheese and wine.
