On the road in Ireland!

We bit the bullet in Ireland and booked a rental car! The idea of driving on the left was a little nerve wracking, but we ended up getting the hang of it! By we I mean Rich. There's no way I'm driving on the left side. Anyways, it was a wonderful experience and gave us the opportunity to see the Irish countryside that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to.

We hiked (part of) this mini-mountain. Unplanned, freezing cold and surrounded by sheep on both sides of us.

We picked up the car in Dublin and had the whole day to drive to our Airbnb. We really took our time and stopped all along the way. We found small towns and tons of hiking. At rest stops there were often streams and hiking trails.

There were babbling brooks everywhere.
Our route took us to an old monastery site that was just fascinating. A huge cemetery was there as well, packed to the brim with headstones and surrounded by mountains. Breathtaking.

God's Cottage!
Our Airbnb was pretty much the cutest place in the world. It snowed the day we came, just enough to look a little more magical. A separate cabin had a kitchen, where we made soup one cold night. It was so cozy. I pulled up a Christmas playlist and a yule log on you tube!

We stayed in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, which was full of forests and hikes. We really took advantage and hiked as much as we could. It was so so beautiful doing this in the Winter.
