Kolkata, India

Kolkata is in West Bengal and was a new and exciting experience for us. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the city surprised me. We had gotten used to the convenience of rickshaws and Uber. Transport in Kolkata was insane though. There are so many people on the roads!

We managed to get out and about quite a bit for the little time we spent there. There was an amazing shopping emporium we spent basically a solid day at. Each stall sold handicrafts from a different region in India. A fascinating and impressive lot of people and things. The talent we saw was amazing! This is a really great place to look around, even if you aren't planning on buying.

We also had a chance to spend a good chunk of time at the Victoria Memorial. It was awesome! It was an oasis. The building itself is astounding, plus the gardens surrounding were heaven. I'm positive we spent more time out in the gardens than the memorial.

All in all, Kolkata was a great experience. The food was to die for, more on that later.
